Dyeing and Printing

Are you looking for vibrant color palettes and vivid patterns for your fabrics? With emerging inconsistencies in fabric dyeing and printing, such as color payoffs, shrinkage, bleeding, and improper aftercare, finding a reliable solution can be extremely challenging. RaaHaa Fabrics is here to tackle these issues. We ensure that your fabrics are in capable hands with impeccable quality and precision.

RaaHaa Fabrics is partnered with industry leading specialists for fabric dyeing and printing. We leverage innovative techniques and cutting edge technology to ensure consistent results.

We do so by following 3 crucial steps:

Step 1: Pre-treatment and Design of the Fabric

For Dyeing

Before the fabrics proceed for dyeing or printing, it goes through a process of pre-treatment. In this process, the fabrics are analysed for any impurities like dirt and lint. Please note, each fabric type is pre treated based on the fibre/yarn.

Addition to this, custom formulations are created by client’s preference to match the nearest colours precisely with consistency throughout the roll/thaan of fabric.

For Printing

As for digital printing, a CAD (Computer aided design) is prepared first for client approval. In this process, we ask our clients to provide a TIFF or PSD file for their designs so they can be processed for printing. We also assist with designing from scratch and our designers can work on your design on quantity. Furthermore, we assist with pantone shade replication and design samples before proceeding for bulk printing.

Step 2: Production of the Fabric

For Dyeing

In this process, the fabrics are submerged in dyes at proper temperatues and PH levels. Even a slight change in PH levels can cause a change in the final outcome. Our technicians ensure to make adjustments to maintain even colour penetration and distribution.

For Printing

The printing process is initiated by inputing RFD (ready for dyeing) fabrics into the printing machine. They ensure even colour absorption and retention.

Step 3: Post Care of the Fabrics

For Dyeing

In the post production stage, the fabrics undergo a thorough washing to remove excess dye and retain colour fastness. The fabrics are then carefully dried and undergo various quality inspections to solidify consistent color, strength, and durability.

For Printing

The fabrics are generally printed digitally in two ways.

Reactive printing generally takes place on natural fabrics (silk, linen, cotton). This process utilizes reactive dyes that bond with the fabric fibres on a molecular level.

Sublimation printing on the other hand, uses heat, pressure and time to transfer designs/patterns on fabrics. Moreover, if you desire to gather more knowledge on these printing techniques, you can read here. Following printing, we send the fabrics to aftercare, where they are washed, softened, and folded.
