RaaHaa stands for forward direction — and that’s exactly what drives us. We’re a premium textile house offering the finest luxury silks, handpicked organic linens, and sustainable fabrics, along with the solutions to bring them to life. But for us, quality alone was never the whole story — we wanted to narrate the craft and skill behind every fabric we offer.
Where it began
In 2022, Aditi Punwatkar — an MBA in Operations & Supply Chain Management, with years of experience in IBM Corporation and Siemens Ltd, sourcing for major international deals across Australia, New Zealand and beyond — took a trip to India’s North-East. In the villages of Assam, Manipur, West Bengal and Tripura, she watched local artisans process silk yarn, dye it with natural pigments, and weave it with a skill that stayed with her long after she left.
That moment became a mission: to bring India’s most exceptional silks and heritage fabrics to markets both at home and abroad — with the artistry behind them front and center, not an afterthought.
Aditi’s sister, Padmaja Punwatkar, joined soon after. A hospitality graduate and writer with a background in customer psychology, she brought a sharp instinct for how people experience a brand — not just what it sells.
Together, the sisters spent years immersed in the craft itself — regional weaving techniques, natural dyeing traditions, pattern, colour, texture — while building a business rooted in conscious, sustainable fashion.
They named the company after their mother, Minakshi Punwatkar, who now serves as Director. A microbiology graduate and B.Ed holder, and retired Secretary of ONGC Tripura Mahila Samiti, she brings hands-on experience in organizing, finance, and community leadership — grounding the business with the same discipline she’s brought to public service for years.
